Chickens!

Springtime is here and we decided to get ourselves some chickens! We have had many chickens in the past (Henrietta, Henrietta II, Mr. Chicken, and Nugget), but this time we decided to get some unusual breeds. We drove out to a town I can’t even recall at the moment, but there was a lot of poultry activity going on over there. We picked up a Buff Silkie and a Silver Sebright. Hopefully they are both hens, or our neighbors won’t be too happy about the 4am crowing. But, I suppose hens do make an awful lot of noise when they are laying (which is about every day). So now to introduce the wonderful Ms. Maltese Falcon II (A.K.A. “Little Falcon”), and Ms. Dandylion (A.K.A. “Ms. Dandy”).
We are going to make them a fantastic coop on wheels and don’t be surprised if they are complete with chicken portraits inside…. Who said you can’t have chickens in the city?
