Millard Fillmore was the 13th President of the United States and was known as “The American Louis Philippe.” Fillmore took over as President when Zachary Taylor suddenly passed away. He was a Unitarian, had no formal education, and was a lawyer by occupation. Fillmore was considered the first President that was an avid health nut–he did not drink or smoke. Fillmore was the last President who was of the Whig party.
